Hello,

I have a customer that has an vMCD and wants to configure some analog stations. He was told that they could use a MP118 Audiocodes. Has anyone have any info on how to ccomplish this. Does vMCD require SIP trunking or SIP device license?

If you have a Mitel OnLine account, look for Knowledge Base article # 08-5159-00006, it should have all the info you need.

Thank you Lundah, I'll check it out.

You will configure them as SIP devices rather then trunks. In the newer MCD software ( MCD 4.1 and above I think ) the SIP user license was eliminated and you now use a regular user license to create SIP devices. If you intend to run faxes on these SIP devices be aware it can be hit and miss as to whether it works. It depends on your network.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanx LoopyLou, I will keep this in mind since they will have fax lines.

I've had good success with the Mediatrix 4000 series Sip to analog converters for Fax and otherwise.
