VMB light does light

Does anyone know what would cause the VM light on a set to not light when there is a message or blink on and off.

Sometimes the lights do go bad - try typing feature 09 and then the extension number - this will turn the light on from the phone system - not the VM if it does not come on the light is bad - if it does come on type feature 10 and then the extension number to turn it off and something is probably wrong with your vm notification. Try resetting the mailbox at this point. - Good luck
