VMAX Hosted Application Issue

Whenever we perform dev creations, lun creations, bcv commands, symconfigure commands, we cause an impact to an application that is on the array, whether we do it to the same diskgroup, or not.
However, have done symaccess commands without issue, and symdev commands sometimes cause no issue.
The most recent was doing a symconfigure to enable scsi-3 persistent reservation on a raid-6 lun.
EMC can see no issues, and it only affects 1 application.
Running Enginuity 5875.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Now seeing signs showing this is more array related.
Had a disk fail last night, and while the spare was utilised, we saw an outage yet again.
Has anyone seen anything like this at all ?
