working on a magix 3.0 i am just going to change the card from a 6 port to a 12 port lic card what steps do i need to take thanks

Once you've put the new 12-port card in, you need to add the new extension ports to the hunt group (calling group 770). Menu, Sys prog, start, extensions, more, grp call, 770 and enter, then enter the new 6 extension ports.

Don't forget to Rotary Enable the new ports, and if you use Outcalling, or transfer to RCFed extensions, change the ARS FRLs and Trunk to Trunk permissions.

i did the steps telecomboy posted if i call those ext directly they just ring no vmail pick up. i also did a ext renumber still no answer
how do i get to rotary enable and what does that due by me doing that

Menu, sys prog, start, extensions, more (possibly more twice- I forget), then rotary enable. Enter each of the new 6 extension ports. This has to be done with Merlin Messaging in order for it to pick-up properly. Sorry, I forgot about that part with my initial post.

The Rotary being enabled is what makes the message lights work per station. If your missing message lamp control/notification check your entries in EXTENSIONS - Rotary Enable. Ensure all your voice mail ports are in that list.

Rotary Enable is also what lets you transfer from the Auto Attendant to any extension. Without it, every call from that port will end up at the Console.
