Is your port license card inserted properly? Do you have a port license card installed at all? What version of merli messaging (Model# of card, e.g., 617B49, 617C49, etc.)? What version of Merlin Magix/Legend? Ususally the Merlin Messaging module is in "test mode" when there is no port license card installed or a defective card installed.
Did the 617E49 Messaging module come with a port license card? If so, how many ports? How did you "set up" the voice mail? Did you use "autoconfigure voice mail" from the processor? or did you set it up manually via programming. This is not a "plug and play" item. It has to be programmed to work. But, first answer the question about the port license (PCMCIA) card. Do you have one installed in the leftmost middle slot of the VM unit?
If you don't have a port license card - then your voice mail module will stay in "test mode". You need a port license card to make the module work. They come in 2,4,6,8,10 or 12 port versions. 12 ports is the maximum capacity. If you need to purchase one - you can get them at most Avaya dealers - or contact me at my company.
