I have a customer that has a cics running 4.?. There system is basically set up like 2 seperate businesses.
set a has lines 1, 2, 3
set b has lines 4, 5, 6

occasionally when set b is gone, set b will forward there phone to set a. set a can then answer set b's calls.
the problem is once set a answers one of the calls they are unable to transfer that call to vm.

vm is call pilot 100

any ideas?

You probably only have one intercom button. Add a second one because I'm guessing the other lines don't appear on the set and it needs an intercom path to transfer.

so would putting both sets in a pickup group also require 2 intercom keys to do a vm transfer, if not using the forwarding option?

thanks alot

If you pick up a line that does not appear on your phone, it will come in on an intercom path. So to answer your question yes a 2nd I/C path would be needed to transfer anywhere.
