When the AA picks up a call from a trunk line, the user has the option of dialing an extension directly to get to that person. However, if the user dials an extension and gets the person's VM instead, they would like to transfer to another extension instead of leaveing VM. I understand that they could dial the operator, but is there a way to dial another extension instead or at least get back to the main menu of the AA at that point?

Thanks,
Harold

If you have voicemail on a NAM, individual mb users can setup a target attendant that sends the callers to a specific station other than the system operator. Info is in the user guides. This is not available on the Flash. /Another thing you can do is turn on 'Return to AA' parameter. This would allow caller to return to the AA msg after leaving a message in a mailbox, then they would have the opportunity to dial another station.

Yes if they are in a mailbox they can dial a * in front of the extension number and transfer back out. Example if a call comes in the ext 222 and in there mailbox greeting they say if you need immediate help please dial * 223 that call will be rerouted to ext 223. Hope this helps

You got that right norstargirl and, for the * to work you must have 'Return to AA: Y' otherwise you will exit the system. Thanks for the reminder, I forgot about that one.
Just another reason this is a great site. Stars to ya.

Great Suggestions from both NorstarGirl and DueE.

Now, if only there was a way for the user to get back to the AA or Dial directory without having to leave a message first I would have it made.

You can back out without leaving a message, just do as directed with using * . You can do that right as the greeting is being played and then you are returned to the AA menu prompt. darnold@americaii.com
