VM PRO update error ...call flow database error

I have upgraded a 406 system to 4.0.10 and was upgrading the vm pro to 4.0.18 the VM, auto attendant, etc is still working but i cannot get into it. I am connected to the VM computer but i get the error.. "there was an error opening the Call fl0w Database". it wont let me do anything, cant import, cant export, etc.. all choices are shadowed out. I am at a loss as to the cause or the solution.
 
yes it shows on line... and log out and select mode are the only two options highlighted..
 
How did you connect to the VM computer?
Corruption can happen when connected via Remote Desktop (not supported). Tha flash screen at the start when you open VM will show corrupted characters.
If it has been corrupted, you will have uninstall / re-install. If you have exported the database previously, it will be ok.
 
the VM software did get corrupted as did the backup we were trying to make.. fortunately..i had kept a backup copy each time i had made any changes.. Uninstalling and reinstalling was the last option and it solved the problem. Thanks for the help
