VM Pro question

Hi all,

Got a weird one, customer has an admissions dept ext 412 and wants internal calls to be routed to a VM pro start point to play a message before transferring to 412. I have created a short code which routes to start point plays message then transfers no problem. The problem is that when i enter 412 as a short code to the start point it always calls the extension( Which is what i would expect). Is there a way an internal user can call 412 and route to the start point whilst keeping the internal ext 412?

yes.

Renumber the group to something else... like 55412.

The create the 412 shortcode to a voicemail node which transfers to 55412.

Renumber the phone to 4120 and create a shortcode like sc=412/tn=4120/action= dial extension
