I’ve had to restart the 5 services associated with voicemail via email once or twice a month. With our migration to a new Exchange 2007 server last week, I’ve had to restart those services a couple of times a day. Any ideas what could be causing the issue? When I look in services, the services are “started” but if I click “Restart” to kick-start the service, it says it can’t restart due to a logon failure. I’ve never changed the password for the “ims” user account. It’s always been “xx"since we installed VoiceMail Pro several years ago.

You shouldnt have to restart the services a few times a day. First thing to check is make sure the licenses show as Valid in IP Office.

Is the new server on the domain? is the IMS users a domain user? If you retype in the password does the service start?

IMS Server PC Requirements

In addition to the Voicemail Pro server requirements, IMS requires the following.

• The voicemail server to use MAPI.

• Access to a Microsoft Exchange 2000 or 2003 (SP1 and SP4) server.

• An Exchange User account for user IMS.

• A list equating Exchange User account names with voicemail box users.

• Use of the Large Fonts setting is not supported. Use of this option may cause options on some screens to become inaccessible.

Note that IMS is not supported with UMS.

Above is from the knowledgebase. Exchange 2007 isn't supported for IMS.

IMS is a real pain and would even attempt to get it working on Ex 2k7.

It moght be time to look at R5 UMS
