Is it possible to restrict the number/type/category of greetings that the Voicemail Pro Users have available to them?

& far more user friendly

1st thing I do to a VM Pro is switch to IP Office mode & only switch back to intuity if absolutely necessary

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Create a User Right with shortcodes disallowing the access to the modules you want to exclude

Why don't you like Inuity Mode?
Are you serious?
The menu is like a labyrinth ad totally not user friendly.
I only use it when necessary.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

My customers are alergic for Voicemail and if they arent i'll infect them...

Why don't you like Inuity Mode?

IP Office mode
*17 - you have X new messages

Intuity Mode
*17, "welcome to Avaya IP Office for help at any time press *4 please enter extn and #, enter password & #

Password I Can accept but asking for my extn number? you already know it its the one I'm calling from!

many other common VM tasks also require excessive input compared to the IP Office mode variants

Visual voice has made things easier (That was originaly adopted form the INDeX & available on DT series handsets it took until release V4.2 until it was available on the DS handsets).

I like to keep thinsg as simple as possible for the end users for obvious reasons

I have to come to the rescue of Intuity mode here.
A lot of other systems use the same interface here in North America so people are used to it.
When I log in then I hit # for my extension number as I am on my own phone and my 8 digit password (kidding of course I have a 10 digit PW) and then I go 2 then 0 as you don't have to listen to all the blabla from the vm Mary. It takes not a lot more time then your IPO mode but is more secure. And I also keep a couple of greetings for emergencies that I just activate. I have greeting #2 that I recorded when I was really sick and sounded like it too.
North America works different than Europe and features are wanted and not looked at as a burden by most people.
I only installed IPO mode once or twice in the 12 years I install IPO just like you guys are probably the other way around. Both modes have their purpose and it comes down to personal preference.

Hrmf..If anyone have the audacity to ask for voicemail (maybe an expat?), that's going email.

Absence activate -> Custom module going straight to the point.

0. Cancel absence
1. Lunch, enter est. time for return.
2. Meeting, enter est. time for return.
3. Vacation, enter date of return.
4. Sick leave, go to receptionist/colleague.
5. Work travel, twinning on, timeout to Receptionist
6. Gone for the day. "Drop me an email, I'll get back to you when I'm God damn good and ready" [smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar

That sounds like a Viking mentality there. Ask me for something and I will raid your village :)

Voicemail is big here and people want it. They want to leave voicemails so that people can ignore them just as well as they ignore emails
