VM PRO Entery Prompts - "Telephony Handset" not an option 2

I have setup VM Pro 2.0 (16) and want to start recording prompts with customer on Monday. Looking at it today, however, I notice that when I go to record an entry prompt, in the drop down box the only option is "PC Multimedia Device"... now I could use a microphone on the PC, but I'd rather use an extension. Any ideas why this option is not even presented? The extension field allows me to type in a number, but when I choose record, the extension doesn't ring. I need to find out why the "telephony handset" option is not present. Thanks for any ideas.

If you do not have admin rights on the local machine you will not get this option.

Do you also have to install the TAPI driver?

Tapi driver is NOT required for VM Pro
