Dear helpers,
My LAB VM Pro(V8) system doesn't seem to communicate properly with the IPO, pingable from both ends and no firewall in the LAN .. The users list is showing empty. Is there a way to force the sync with the R8 IP office system?

Thank you Sam

What version ipoffice?
What version voicemail pro?
Do you have a license for voicemail pro?
Is the ipoffice in ipoffice mode?
I'd the firewall turned on on the voicemail server?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

IP office is on R8, 8.0(16)
VM Pro v8 , 80029
Yes the license is Valid and the system used to work properly till someone disconnected the power source last night in error
IP office Essential mode
The firewall shouldn't be an issue as VM pro used to work before.. Will double-check it though :)

Thanks alot
Sam

The system cannot be discovered over the network .. Even if I tried to login from the VM Pro itself, It dosen't seem to find the application .. Should I re-install?

I read essential mode, do you have the preferred license and is the system set to voicemail pro?
make also sure that the service is running

Joe's right, won't work on essential mode only. Gotta have preferred mode license as well on R8.

I would try a different PC and make a backup of the old one.

The license we have is Advanced ..Sorry for any confusions .. Here is a list of the license keys:
Advanced Edition
Audix Voicemail
Avaya IP endpoint
CTI Link Pro
Customer service Agent
IP500 Voice Networking Channels
IPSec Tunneling
Mobile Worker
Office Worker
Phone Manager Pro (Per seat)
Power user
Preferred Edition (Voicemail Pro)
Receptionist
SIP Trunk Channels
Small site software upgrade 5
Teleworker
VMPro Networked messaging
VMPro TTS (Scansoft)
Wave User
Wave User

Not sure what is going on .. I will re-image and might try another PC as Tlpeter advised .. Thank you

Sam

try taking it off the network with just a simple unmanaged switch so that there is nothing else on it. Maybe someone installed a printer with the IP address of the IPO or Vm?

I noticed essential edition is missing from your license list, and you are on 8.0.16. Any chance your preferred license says 'dormant'?

It shows:
Preferred Edition (VoiceMail Pro) , Valid, 255, Never

Did you reboot the IPO too?
I wold try that and see if your license is still valid!

Ok, Just restarted the IPO and all licenses are still showing Valid on a fresh Manager session :)

Alright .. This is really weird. Even after I stopped the firewall completely on public and home networks on the 2008 server, VM Pro wasn't able to sync the users.

I turned the firewall back on and installed Avayafw tool directly to the 2008 server, boom the sync went just fine and VM Pro was able to create all users Voicemail boxes ..

This Avayafw tool is just amazing .

Regards
Sam

This "Avayafw" script is amazing .. I would advise everyone to run it on any Avaya Off-board application servers prior to testing functionality and interoperability :)
