I have a customer whio had a moter board failure on VM pro PC, The hard drive has been moved to a new server and I can get all the wavs, greetings etc. What I want to know is that in default when you save a callflow which file does it save it to?

All you should have to do is copy the application folder from Program Files to the new server, then re-install Voicemail Pro. It should use the old flows without needing to deal with importing.

He means the VoicemailPro folder. You may have to re enter some variables that are held in the registry. Stuff like stmp address etc.

For reference the call flow is held in 2 files

root.vmp holds the actual call flow that the VM Service processes
vmdata.mdb contains the information used by the VM Pro client
save & make live then generates the root.vmp file

The VM will continue to work even if VMdata.mdb is missing but will be impossible to edit.

root.vmp is in a human readable format so it can be used to reverse engineer a lost callflow if necessary

Mundus vult decipi decipiatur ergo.

I just recovered vm pro from a backup

installed vm pro

stopped service.

copied backed up folders from old VM Pro straight over the new install, restart VM Pro.

Job done.

all call flows, AA's greetings, messages all back.
