VM Pro 9.1.8 & Web Service

Hello Pros,

Just installed a new IP Office 9.1.8 with VM Pro 9.1.8 on a Windows 10 machine. When installing the VM Pro bundle, I could not complete the install because web service couldn't be installed. I had to complete the VM Pro install without installing web service which I now realize is needed for voicemail to email to work. Has anyone ran into this issue of web service not being able to get installed on a Windows 10 machine and know of a fix? Thanks.

You don't need Web Services for voicemail to e-mail and what is that? Are you talking about the web interface for voicemail?

No, when installing Voicemail Pro service pack 8, there is a part of the install called Web Services, I think it's for UMS. I couldn't complete the install without unchecking the Web Services part. Now when I'm configuring the voicemail pro, the voicemail to email won't work. I was told by my Scansource Catalyst support that web services is needed for voicemail to email. Are they wrong?

For UMS you need IIS installed.

Depends what you mean with Voicemail to E-mail, if you just wanna send an e-mail to the user when they get a voicemail you don't need UMS for that.

Yea we're just doing regular voicemail to email, no UMS. Just a strange issue, I'm duplicating my smtp sender settings from a working VM Pro server and it just won't work.
