I have had this happen on two installs now. One was a new install and one was an upgrade.
All recordings made in Voicemail Pro whether its the main greeting, messages in voicemail or the users names when setting up voicemail. They are missing the first one or two seconds of the recording. IP406v2 3.2.57 and IP0403 3.2.57.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had it happen on a 3.2.57 system and a 4.0.7 system. Both were IPO 406's with an HP Proliant DL320 G4 server. I'm still not sure whats going on with them. We have other clients running the same systems with no problems. Hopefully someone has a resolution for this.

I've had the same on an IP500 4.0.7 install with the corresponding VMPro 4.0.18. Had this on the customers Server as well as on my laptop.
Pitty I didn't have time to try to deinstall 4.0.18 and try the previous 4.0.15 to see if that would solve the problem.

The customer now waits about 2 seconds before recordings the announcements and names as a workaround till we know how to fix this issue.

Anyone tried VMPro4.0.15 instead of 4.0.18 on a faulty 4.0.7 install to see if VMPro or the IPOffice is the culprit?

Wasnt there an issue with a setting on the VM Server networks cards which caused issues like this?

I've had issues in the past when the NIC was set to auto negotiate, however these last few have had issues with the NIC being set to 100 Full Duplex.

I'm running into this as well. 3.2.57 406v2 & 3.2.33 VM Pro. Windows 2003 on a HP Proliant ML 310. I'll follow up if I find anything out...Z

I down graded just my vm from 3.2.33 to 3.2.30 and it fixed the leading cut off. Kept admin 3.2.57.

406v2, xp-pro

I had this problem on the 4.0.18 VM.. Downgraded to 4.0.15 VM and it fixed it.

My latest v4 is doing this too.

Its not too bad though if you just spend a bit more time doing your recordings. Not ideal though.

PlatinumGuy,
Is your latest v4 vm pro on a 2003 R2 Svc Pack 2 server? Just curious. Z

2000, not 2003.

I downgraded the vm pro to 3.2.28.4 and this resolved the problem on both a 2003 Server R2 SP1, and a 2003 Server R2 SP2. Just like jslewis, I kept the IPO at 3.2.57. Z

same problem here on the VM Pro 4.0.18... First 2 seconds of the recording is cut off.

rzanter,
Perhaps you could test keeping the latest IPO code, but downgrade the vm pro to 4.0.15. Z

406V2 4.0.7 with VMPro 4.0.18.
Just upgraded my laptop to lastest releases and have the same issue. Was O.K. with 4.0.5 and 4.0.15

I have had it happen also on 4.0.18 vm pro on both a Windows 2000 system and XP Pro. Cant' downgrade everything to 3.2 because it's IP500 hardware. I suppose the VM could go back to 4.0.15.

Anyone out there have any "juice" with Avaya to find out the problem with the 2 second cutoff on these vm releases? Mine is 4.0.18 on HP Proliant 2003 sp2 and does the same.

Escelate a ticket with Tier 3. I have updated builds for 3.2.57 and 4.0.7.

Same problem as above. Known bug.
