VM PRO R3.0 - XP HOME - SP2 - after leaving a voice mail 10-30 seconds long in a USER mailbox - message waiting light lights up - when you go to retreieve - you get 5 seconds of dial tone - that's it.

Anyone know what is going on?

Is this happening to every user, every time? One user, every time? All users, some of the time?

The firewall is not on - sorry should have specified that I checked that FIRST THING.

I've installed about 70 of these things - and this is the first problem that I have encountered of this nature and I am dumbfounded.

I believe XP Home is not officially supported for VMPro - which just means you won't be able to get Avaya to help you with this. I've installed it here at my house when I was running XP Home and it seemed to work Ok although it wasn't exactly a live environment.

Did you try backing up the callflows and reinstalling VMPro? If you do that, I would try leaving a message for a user BEFORE you start programming callflows, or changing any settings at all for that matter. If that works OK then try reimporting your saved callflows.

Thanks Peter - I suggested that the client perform this process. Customer is remote to my office - and I have no dial in-VPN connectivity.

Thanks for the input.

All,

Thanks for your input.

We loaded the SP2 patch.

Tech on site had loaded the wrong VMPRO - not custom.

Problem fixed.

Thanks.
