I have a customer with a Legend 5.0 and a 6 port Legend Mail. I have the system dialing x28 as the "dial "0" and timeout action". x28 is an external bell and when it rings people "pick-up" the call. That's fine, and if no one gets the call, it goes into the MB for x28. That's fine, too. How do I get a light to light on a phone somewhere to indicate that there is a message that needs to be read? x28 has a cos of 3.

You make the bell the only member of an auto login calling group, have that calling group use time-based overflow to voice mail, and have some other extension be the message waiting receiver for the calling group.

You would either need to make a new mailbox for the calling group number, but still pick up extension 28, or make a new extension number for the bell, making the calling group 28, and picking up the new extension number.
