VM email

Have Auto Record setup for most in/out calls, all recorded messages go to a single mailbox "recordings".
406 and VM Pro both V2, using smtp for email, Mail server is on same pc as vm, when monitoring the progress of the calls thru vm it shows call coming in auto record etc all working fine, but no attempt by vm server to email the wav files. email options are set correectly on users and groups.
Can the email server be on the same pc as vm.

The SMTP sever must be located on another machine as far As I know. I have never tried VM pro on the same machine as the SMTP gateway.

Very easy to test. Just setup another SMTP gateway on another machine.

Go to tucows and download a test mail server. Or if another machine on the network was running IIS that has a built in SMTP gateway, just configure it up and test.
