Hello All,
Currently we are using the NEAX 2000IPS in 8 locations company wide for our PBX. The NEC VM just isn's cutting the mustard any more with it's 4 port limitation. In trying to switch over to Zeacom Chorus VM we would like to do it piecemeal instead of across the board. The problem is the MCI from the MP card - we still need it to transfer people from remote locations to the NEC VM - but we also need it to do the same thing for the Chorus VM system. You can not set BOTH serial ports on the MP card to do the same thing.

I can see a couple options:

Split the MCI so it can run to both VM's at once.
Does anyone know of a source for an NEC port splitter?!?!
What pinouts am I working with? I can cut a spare cable and get out the soldering iron....

Get MCI from any other port on the PBX...

Give Up

Switch Everyone at once - (not really an option)

Does anyone out there have any sage advice???

Help!!!

I would make one up yourself! I use four pair cable, solder pins 2 thru 8 and 20. Should work like a charm.

Well, We finally chose to do all remote sites at one because of the following:

If you have the same serial MCI info going to 2 VM systems at the same time they both try to grab the tie. That doesn't work so well....

Wish me luck :) I have 450 users switching voice mail systems in less than a week :-O

Thanks!
Jason
