VM Auto Attendant plays same greeting twice 1

Had a customer whose Norstar NAM blew up. Put in a StarTalk Mini for temporary use, had new attendant greeting recorded in table 1 for all times of day. The attendant msg plays twice, i.e. if the caller waits to hear all of the message without taking any action, such as dialing a known extension or pressing pound sign for directory access. To make matters worse, after the 2 customized greetings play the system also plays the built in female voice message saying the operator is unavailable so please leave a message in the General Delivery Mailbox etc.

I've never seen this happen before. Help!

Make sure that in greeting 1 (or whatever greeting number you have assigned in the table) the only thing they have recorded is "Thank you for calling ABC Company." Then in the AA menu prompt is where you would record JUST the instructions. "If you know your party's ext, dial it now.....: If they recorded the whole thing in greeting 1 and in the AA menu prompt, it will sound like it is playing twice.

Under feature 982, password OPERATOR. Change operator available? N to Yes. When they do not choose anything it is obviously trying to transfer to the assigned atdt (attendant). With F982 set to operator available? N. It will say that the operator isn't available and send the call to the general delivery mailbox. MRoberts
