Hi all,
Knowing the CID of the person leaving a voice message would be a great feature to have. Has anyone succeeded in doing this?
I'm desperately trying to get my ACS R6 to (somehow) send caller ID information to my VM system. I'm using asterisk (*) with a 4 port fxs card on extensions 27-31 as both AA and VM.
Here's the basic call flow:
1. call comes in
2. * answers on ring 3 and receives digits #01#LL## where LL is the line number the call came in on
3. * plays AA ivrrel. the caller dials extn XX.
4. * flashes the line and enters the extn number, hangs up. partner fwds call to extn, handset rings
5. call is not answered, vm cover is on
5. vm cover sends call to * and receives digits "#03##XX#" which means it's an outside caller leaving a VM
Problem is that in those digits, I have neither the CID of the caller, nor the line number. Only the mailbox number.
Can this be done?
Thanks in advance,
Eric
