I have the requirement to set up Call waiting, however not for internal call, only for external calls coming in on the DDI number.
I've managed to do this by setting up a shortcode *29*N which has the feature code of DialCW.
In the incoming call route, I've got the destination set to *29*2270 for example, where 2270 is the extension number.
This works well, however when Voicemail (only VMlite) is enabled, internal calls will go to VoiceMail when not answered, however external calls never go to VM. They just continue to ring at the Extension. If I remove *29*2270 from the Incoming call route and change it just to 2270, then they do go to VM when not answered, however they do not get CW when the line is engaged.
Any ideas?
