VM & External Call Transfer 2

Do any of the VM releases allow for flash hook transfer to an outside line.

For example, call comes in call er is given an option os is automatically transfered lets say to a cell phone. The CO line has Call Transfer feature so Partner VM flashes dials the number then releases. The caller is then transfered to an outside number and the Partner line is free to take another call.

Partner Messaging supports CO based (hookflash) transfer.

You could also have the call transferred to an extension(maybe the person who has the cellphone) and place a forward to an outgoing number button on the set. When the button is pressed, the calls that go to that extension are forwarded to the outside number programmed.
Would this be a viable option?

I think the ACS needs to be R6 or higher to allow external call forward. If not you'll need a Partner Messaging per a previous post.

Yes, the Partner Messaging R1 through the current R7. It's called Centrex transfer and works exactly as you describe. You do need Centrex from your service provider to do this.

Is this automated. For example can I have Partner automatically flash and dial the cell number once the caller dials the ext. number or presses a selector code option to be transferred to the outside number.

For example the voice mail recording could say "to leave a message press 1 to be transferred to my cell press 2".

When 2 is pressed Partner would flash ( using Centrex call fwd/call transferfeature ) and dial the number then hang up.

The caller would then be connected to the outside number.
