I want to make a server a member of two VLANs so that the users in two VLANs can share its resources. How do i do it?

Can the server NIC card support 802.1q trunking, if so you can do this by setting the link as a trunk.

hi,
If your server NICS is VLAN aware NIC, then you should be able to assign a VLAN number to this NIC card.
Check out with a Network management software that allows you to set a nic part of multiple vlans.
Once you set the vlan number to the NIC, on the switch side, you need to enable trunking.
Enable the particular port for 802.1q protocol.
If you are working on a Cisco 4006 switch, then this is how you should it :
set trunk <mod/port no> on dot1q
where the mod/port no is the port number of the particular server.
Just check it out..
