Greetings!

I'm curious to see if this has been done before. We are looking to possibly use VLANs to separate ELAN and TLAN traffic on a CS1000. Has anyone tried this before?
I am interested to learn if there were any issues with VGMCs accepting tagged traffic and how that was overcome.

Thanks!

Adam

We have always used different VLAN's on E-Lan and T-Lan, but always untagged on the switch port. There are reasons why they have seperate connections on the VGMC. Nortel does not support E-Lan and T-Lan in the same subnet. You can't untagg and tagg the same port to the vgmc card...

Thanks!

I know that the VGMC must have all tags stripped at the data switch.

I was simply curious if this has worked before and what caveats I should have in mind.
