VLANS and JSP

Has anyone experienced problems with layer 2 vlans across 450 Nortel switches and running JSP webpages.

We have a web server on the end of a 450 Switch which is configured on a vlan. We were unable to see a jsp page on the web server however we could see a html page.

This may sound strange, and i agree.

Does anyone have any ideas.
