Hi,
Can anyone provide an answe/guidance to what happens to the MAC address in a VLAN to VLAN connection in Level 3 switching? Does the MAC address change and if so to what?

Thanks

At level 2, switching, the VLAN is kept in a 12 bit 802.1Q extension to the packet.

At Level 3, routing, the packet gets the MAC of the Router port, and inherits the VLAN of that port
I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
