I have two 48 port, 3500 XL switches in a computer lab. I need the entire room on there own vlan. Is it necessary to configure each port of the switches for the new vlan? I need an easy way to make the change without having to configure each port individually. Hoping anyway:)

By default, all ports belong to the management VLAN, which is VLAN1.

Yepper. I need to change all ports to something like vlan 10

Sorry no easy way on those old 3500XL's , they did not have the interface range command like they do now on the ios boxes . Even doing them individually it should not take you more than 5 minutes a box , not exactly time consuming.

Yeah its a pain in the ass on a 3500. Like viperegg said, not range command on those.
