Hi All:

What would be the inplication of the following scenario:
Switch 1 has a VLAN named PRIVATE on ports 13 to 24.
Switch 2 has a VLAN named PUBLIC on ports 13 to 24.
There is a patch cable from Switch 1 port 24 to switch 2 port 24 creating a physical connection between the two VLAN's.

Would this mean everything on the PRIVATE VLAN is connected with everything on the PUBLIC VLAN?

Thanks
SB

Oops!! I forgot an important bit of information regarding the switches in the first post, They are HP ProCurve 2524.

Only if you have a layer 3 device in the mix to route between the VLANs. Also, is your port 24 a tagged port on both switches or is it untagged??

I hate all Uppercase... I don't want my groups to seem angry at me all the time! =)
