I have a Cisco 1200 series Aironet Access Point. Is there a way that I can configure this device to delegate what VLAN a notebook is assigned to as it tries to connect? This is a pubilc hotspot area in a library, and I would like for my admin notebooks to be on one VLAN, and public notebooks to be on a separate VLAN. Is there a way that I can setup this product by say MAC address or something, like define several MAC addresses to the admin VLAN and all other MAC addresses to the public VLAN?

Thanks.

Hey,

Setup two SSID's, one for public and one for tech's.

But i'm not sure if you can get the AP to have 2 VLAN's. I can't remember....

So I am wondering, then if I can assign a different VLAN to each SSID.
