I have an issue and i cant seem to pin point it out i know how to fix it.. but cant seem how to get in without taking the systems down

What has happened the other dealer of mitel here has a new customer site coming to us and the way they programmed this 3300 they programed it in System ip configuration to be VLAN 2

and were taking over the new account from them so no help on passwords so we dont want to default the system its a 2 site system (ip trunking) and i can access the system at the Other site but not this site and the
command i used in vxworks to test it our was Vlan_off
wasnt able to get in the system at all but it took down the phones and the Poe switch on the CXI 3300

But I was wondering if anyone heard of vlan hopping and to use the NIC of the laptop and say hey it belongs to VLAN 2 instead and emulate it as like a Voice Vlan dhcp or static request..

theres that program but im not used to linux and compiling c so im like OHyyy vey haha

First, your customer should be going to the first vendor and either asking for the passwords (because they own the equipment, not the vendor) or have the passwords defaulted.

Second, maybe you can program a layer2 switch to have two ports for vlan 2. Connect one to the laptop, and one to the 3300.

Not sure what you will accomplish with "vlan hopping", never heard of it.

yea that was my thought and idea upon it but now its just bugging me because there should be a backdoor because the laptop isnt vlan aware ....

Got ahold of the passwords but now just need to get to see how to manage it from the site without a switch if anyone heard of a voip vlan tool to like emulate a virtual nic for a dhcp voip phone hehe..

but thats just a thought ;)
