Hello,
I have 3 Environments in my Setup. 1 is a testing, second is the production, third is the environment where all my workstations, and my file server sit.
I am running out of IP's. Should I VLAN to keep traffic seperate. If so are thier any good tutorials. I am running a Cisco 2650 XM router, and All Ciscos 2900 Switches.

Vlanning won't help your lack of ip's obviously but its a good idea to separate any kind of test environment from your regular network.

ok. That was one of my thoughts. How do I go about that?

Do your homework. This site is certainly a good place to start. Also use cisco.com

Creating VLANS
Search cisco.com “command 2950 vlan”

I think VLANs is where you want to be. It’s going to be a lot of work.

VLANning is the way to go.

If you create seperate subnets for each VLAN then you will create more available IP's within that subnet.

If you currently have all 3 areas on the same subnet then seperating them will create more available IP's for each group.

Remember, the VLANs will not be able to communicate with each other unless a layer 3 device is used.
