VK_INSERT State in MDI Editor

We have an MDI (text editor) app and need to display the state of the keyboard insert key in the status bar for each MDI Child window. How do we monitor the keyboard state for the VK_INSERT key at runtime?

Check GetAsyncKeyState and siblings in the SDK. If memory serves, they are what you need.
