Visually show when a phone is off hook

CS1000 7.6 system
I have an analog phone with extension 1234
I have a 2008 phone that currently has key 3 SCN 1234

When the analog phone is on a conversation, the indicator light on the 2008 set is lit.

When the analog phone disconnects, the indicator light goes out on the 2008 set.

However, is it possible to somehow show on the 2008 set whenever the handset is off hook even though they are not on an active conversation just off hook?

Just to update some things I have tested.

If the analog phone picks up the handset, the indicator light goes on on the 2008 set.

But if the analog phone is having a conversation, and the other part disconnects, the indicator light on the 2008 goes out even though the analog phone is still off hook.

What I would like to do is keep the indicator light on even though the analog phone is no long actually talking to anyone.

Does the 2008 phone need to answer key 3 or is it just for a busy indicator? If it's just for a busy indicator then try making it a BFS Key instead of SCN.
