Is there a way of getting Visual Voicemail working on a User gateway / trunk gateway with embedded VM?

Scenario of customer:

MXE II = TDM trunk gateway with embedded VM.
MXE Server = User gateway for devices and users.

They use the MXE II for voicemail. However Visual VM does not work. There is no tab on the MXE Server to configure the Visual VM Hunt etc. When configuring Visual VM on the mailbox this still does not work giving the usual error of:

"Could not login because the server is not configured"

I have tried configuring the External Visual VM form on the MXe Server meant for NuPoint but this just gives a server error on the phone when accessing it.

MCD 4.2

Gracias.

You need to enable voicemail networking
Then add the MXe in the voicemail networking form
Also visual voicemail requires the HCi/Mitai options to be enabled on the user Cos, the vm port cos and the IP trunk Cos also make sure Mitai is enabled in system LOS

Forgot to say that for Nupoint you need to program the External Visual VM form with the Nupoint IP address and Hunt group number

He is using the embedded. MXe Server has no internal so may not like the networked VM option.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Yes this is for embedded only not NuPoint.
The customer does not have Networked VM for its MXe Server currently but they do have this enabled for its trunk gateway.
They currently use VM with no issues at current.
Would they need to purchase networked VM to unlock Visual VM in this deployment?

Voice mail networking license
A Voice Mail Networking license is needed to support networked/clustered Embedded Voice
Mail, NuPoint, and other VPIMv2 compliant voice mail servers.

In Release MCD 4.1 and earlier, a Voice Mail Networking license is needed to support
networked/clustered Embedded Voice Mail, NuPoint, and other VPIMv2 compliant voice
mail servers. As of Release MCD 5.0 this license is enabled by default in an “Enterprise”
system, and disabled for “Standalone”.
