For a long time now I have been having problems with accessing a hunt group mailbox via a HXXX source code on a user.
I have tried H206 and HIT (IT is the name of the hunt group) with no luck.
The problem is that a user will open up visual voicemail via the messages key and a few things can go wrong
1. Huntgroup voicemail box is 'busy'
2. When accessing a huntgroup mailbox it will say I have a new message, but I cannot get inside that menu to play the message

Any ideas? I have had this issue a couple of times on various version

What release?

1: You need a source number against the user with H<huntgroupname>
E.g. HIT

2: You need that user to be a member of the hunt group, even unticked.
You should then get BLF and authority to retrieve if there are messages there.

Before you use visual voice, try a voicemail collect short code eg. *60/Voicemail collect/ ?HIT

This will tell you if the user has authority to retrieve the messages from the HG.

If none of this works, you're possibly looking at corruption in your SD.

Embedded of VMPro?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks but all of the above have currently been performed. It sometimes works fine and they currently use a short code to access the mailbox. Vm pro

Insufficient VM ports? another user already accessing the mailbox?

either of the above points could cause difficulties accessing eh group mailbox.

you may also have a silent message in the mailbox which would explain your point 2 (press 4 to delete & move on)

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Huntgroup on another SCN location = known issue, Visual Voice does not work over SCN

A simple mind delivers great solutions

40 ports of vm so not that but it is centralized vm. Is there documentation stating it is a known issue and does not work? This case is a bit political :(

If the hunt group is on the ip office that connects directly to the vm pro server should that not work? Or still no?

On the site were IP Office is connected it is not a problem, only groups on other SCN sites are a problem.

What OS is the VM server running? I ask as Windows XP max session limit is 10 and Windows 7 max session limit is 20 (Vista not sure), perhaps that could be a factor? Is this even relevant for VM Pro connections....I am not sure :)

Has there been any progress on this issue?

I am having the same problem with the latest software.

It appears to have been around since release 6.

I have 3x IPO’s A, B & C (in my lab on a flat network), and all running 8.1.67. A has H323 lines configured to B & C. While B & C have 1 H323 line each configured back to A. All handsets are 1416.
I have a fresh install of IP office applications server 8.1.22 (4) connected to A. B & C are setup as Centralized Voicemail to A.

Much care has gone into setting this up by the books.
The SCN works perfectly & all the voicemails display in the voicemail pro client & are all working.

But, I’m getting the same problem as in these threads; I can’t access remote hunt group voicemail using visual voice.

An example, I have a hunt group setup on B, with a member from C assigned & have also set this hunt group in the source number tab for this member on C. So messages left for this hunt group indicate to all members perfectly.
Now at the phone on C with the message indicator on, I press the message button & scroll down to this hunt group, sometimes I see, “busy” while other times I see the normal “1/0/0”. If I see “1/0/0” I can press select to get to New=1, but that’s as far as I go, pressing select again just returns the normal confidence tone but the display remains the same.

By the way you can play back the hunt group messages using short codes. (Which will be my work around I reckon)

Interestingly, I just tried replacing the 1416 on C, with an old 5410 handset & it works perfectly, played back the message no troubles. I wonder if it’s a 14xx firmware issue.

I would just go with the work around & leave you guys alone, but I have a larger job 15 site SCN, coming up with over 10 remote hunt group voicemail messages needing to accessed by the one receptionist.

Cheers Fred

+1 has there been a fix on this issue?

I can not access voicemail from a remote hunt group via Visual Voice.
The HG is from a remote site by SCN. We have centralized voicemail, I've assign Hxxxx to the users.

The users can see the messages, but they can not be selected.

Submitted a new post today on this issue, before I read this thread...
Has this issue been corrected yet in the 9.x releases?? I am having these exact issues.
