We recently upgraded a 9.1 IP500 running vm pro on win7 to R12 running an IP500 with an app server on rocky linux.
Everything went well and we only have a small issue.
Visual Voice on screen buttons (previous, next, erase, save) stop working at the end of listening a message on 5410 phones. They do work while the message is active. Users need to start the procedure all over if they let the message get to the end.

I know we shoudn't have gone GA and that the 5410 are no longer supported, etc... But I was hoping someone might have run into something similar and i was just missing some obscure setting or password in security for the Visual Voice buttons to work even when not listening to a voicemail.
It's hard to justify a 12k investment to change all 5410s just for that. :)

First upgrade was just by recreating SD card to R12, tried reformatting and recreating copy cfg and xml keys, same results.

Any help would be awesome !

Chaos, Panic and Disorder, my work here is done.

I understand that the customer is not willing to pay fit replacing all phones.

I hope you were communicating to the customer that the phones will be not supported anymore and that you can't ensure that all will work without issues.

Nevertheless maybe it coins be an option to ask the customer to just replace the most important phones while all users have not to use visual voice. Maybe the customer will see that the J-Series phones are more comfortable and state if the art and start to replace further.

IP Office remote service
IP Office certificate check
CLI based call blocking
SCN fallback over PSTN

54XX phone have not been supported since 9.1
Avaya will not even consider looking into a fix for this.

Best advise is to replace the phones. You don't have to buy new, plenty of gray market refurbished dealers out there
that sell these for reasonable prices. i.e. $47.00 dollars a piece for a 9508 phone
