I am trying to load Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Architect on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server.
I am revieving the error of ...
At least one component has an install path set to a mapped drive. Installing to mapped drives is not supported.
Interesting issue is that the drive is NOT mapped. I intended to install it on C: ( the system partition) and when that failed, I chose to intall it on the only other partition available and that being J:. Both times I recieved the error.
Since I have just built this system, I figured maybe a reboot may clear the way ... No Go.
I did have the drives shared but I UnShared them, received the customary message that they would be set back after a reboot and such, and then tried the install to C: and J: again. Once again ... no luck.
Anyone have some ideas to try or a workaround. All I have found on the web is the notice that installing to mapped drives is not permitted and nothing on the subject of what I am running into.
Thanks ALL!
Thanks
