Visual Studio.NET Beta 1 received by MS Visual Studio .NET Beta Testing Program members. It is 4 CD, include Windows Service update CD and SQL Server 2000 trial version (120 days trial).
Visual Studio.NET has the following minimum system requirements:
- Processor: Pentium II-class, 450 MHz (recommended: Pentium III-class, 733 MHz)
- RAM: 128 MB (recommended: 256 MB)
- Available Hard Disk Space: 3 GB
- Video: 800 x 600, 256 colors (recommended: High Color 16-bit)
CD-ROM Drive: Required
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows® 2000, Windows® NT 4.0, Windows® Me, and Windows® 98
Note:
Visual Studio.NET cannot be installed to a mapped drive. You must install Visual Studio.NET on a local hard drive.
It also contains VFP 7 with run-time libraries:
MSVC?70*.* and some others.
They take, however, ~13 MB of space and probably separated for different modules of Visual Studio. At least we know that VFP 70 uses MSVCR70.dll
Good time to test it!
