Could someone please help me as I am tearing my hair out.

I am trying to create an asp.net project on a remote machine using Visual Studio 2003 on my machine but I cannot set the project so I can edit it on my local machine. Problems occur to do with security, settings and logins and as I don't know what is correct and what isn't.

I have direct access to the remote machine and can easily amend any settings..

Could someone tell me step by step what I should be doing on both machines in terms of creating users, permissions and other settings..

I have tried to do this many ways and have scoured the internet to find some decent literature.

Both machines have v1.1.4322 of the .net framework installed. I have shared the folder on the remote machine.

If anyone could help me or point me towards some decent literature I would be most grateful.

Thanks

Nick James

I think you will probably need some type of source control, maybe Visual Source Safe.
