visual studio 2003 v1.1 framework to v2.0 framework?

hi folks.
Im a bit confuse.
I have Visual Studio 2003. The 2003 version comes with the v1.1 framework. Now theres a new Visual studio 2005, and it comes with the v2.0 framework.

My question is, if I update my Visual studio 2003 with the v2.0 framework that I get from the Microsoft update site, will I get the new Asp.net 2.0 functions and controls in my Visual studio 2003? Or would I have to buy the Visual studio 2005 to get the new Asp.net 2.0 feature stuffs.
I hate to pay another $800 bucks for a new version.

In order to use the 2.0 framework, you will need VS2005

There is s free express edition of VS2005 though if you want to experiment with version 2.0 of the framework:
