I'm annoyed by the way VSS saves sourcecode for a long time already so I wrote a simple Dos batch script to backup the source-tree into seperate directories for each project. Just the real files. I've scheduled it at 0:00 and run the tape-backup at 1:00. This way i'm backing up all sources to tape on a daily basis. The script reports to textfile and email if you like (and your system is capable of doing that). I think it might come in handy for developers (and their admins).
