Hey All,
I have a dentist who wants to be able to get notified of calls while drilling. They have a 2 wire paging system in place that my tech thinks won't work with Norstar. The need multiple zones (one for each of 4 rooms).

Any ideas other than T7100's in each room. That's the way I am leaning at this point.

I looked at Algo Solutions, which might work. The problem is the $ for that solution.

Thanks,
Rob

i already hate the chair, and now the dentist wants to drill and be paged?

what kind of page unit and how many zones does it have..

Valcom makes a very good zone page adaptor that you can connect to a CO port. Then you can put an amplified speaker in the ceiling of each exam room and connect each to a different zone. Zones are selected by pressing the line key associated with the page adaptor and then DTMF to each zone.

Valcom would be my first choice if I could get the cheap fool to go for it. That is what we would normally install.

I was looking for the "cheap bastard" option :)

So far I think my best bet is T7100's. We will need to run wire to the rooms anyhow, so why not put a wall phone jack.

Thanks all for your replys. Keep the ideas flowing as they come to you.

Rob,
Use a T 7208. When silent notification is needed place the phone in DND. The light will flash when the phone is dialed. Be sure not to set call forward parameters so the flashing light can go on for as long as required. Not sure if this will work with a T7100.

Interesting idea. I will test that(T7100) when I get a chance. I know you can put them on DND with the feature code.
