Good Morning,
Is there a way I can determine if I have been authorized for Visual Messenger?

I recently took over our G3r and Octel 250 and have parts of the Visual Messenger software. When I talk with my account team at Avaya to get a replacement set of software, I am being told we are not even authorized for Visual Messenger according to their records.

I have an Octel 250 v3.1 with the Fax Processing feature bit turned on. What else could I look for to see if Visual Messenger is authorized?

If you know your serial number of the Octel 250 you can go on the Avaya support website. Here is the link

You would still need to verify if you have Client Access License in the Display Capacity Information section as well as software feature 73 Connectivity, but the Octel Access server Quick Start Guide has all the requirements.
 
Here is the info from the Quick start guide:

Octel 250/350 Message Server, verify:
? IP address and subnet mask (Menu 22.1)
? Features 9, 10, 40 and 73 installed
(Menu 13.7) ? Yes ? No
? Creation of applications in Menu 17.2.1.
Use the same password for each application:
- ID 239 with 10 sessions (password)
- ID 240 with 144 sessions (password and mailbox)
- ID 241 with 24 sessions (password)
- ID 253 with 1 session (password)
? Type 40 mailbox created for AP ID 240 ? Yes ? No
? Type 0 mailboxes created for Visual Messenger users with
client access feature enabled (Menu 7) ? Yes ? No
? Fax Mail Plus™ feature (Menu 7) ? Yes ? No
