I got an error message that some database could not be linked. I went to the visual linking expert to rememdy the problem, but got a surprise. The database that wasn't linking had a link to it. It went from the data to, well, nowhere. The line stretched up to the top of the window and disappeared. I scrolled up as far as I could and the end of the line was not in sight. I clicked "Arrange", the line still went to nowhere. I ended up closing the report with out saving anything to make the "nowhere link" go away. How did this happen? Has this happened to anyone else? Does my program hate me?
Thanks,
Ruth

I have seen lots of strange things but haven't seen that one.

If it is still there I would try the "Database-Remove Table" option just to confirm the list of tables used in the report. Compare this list with the tables shown in the window to see what is missing.
Then you could "Set Location" for this table and "Verify" the DB to see if that brings it back.

Hey, maybe we should have a forum for weird things seen in the Visual Linking "Expert"...
