I am looking to import payroll information into the PR.DATAENT file, but it is not working. To keep things simple, these are steps to create the problem.
I created a Visual integrator export job, and an import job that contain the same fields. In the payroll module, I start some data entry by entering payroll information. I then use my export job to export the data to a CSV file. I then clear the data that was just entered in the data entry module. I then try to import the CSV file created back into the payroll and everything appears to work correctly, but when I look at the payroll data I am missing some data such as earning code, the department, and the earning description to name a few. If I actually try to add another line of data and enter a new earning code, I get the following error mesasge:
Error 47 in program PRWDAD at line 6702
It doesn't seem to matter if I export to a fixed length text file or to a CSV file. The import still fails. All the correct data is in the CSV file, its just not actually getting to the PR7 Data Entry Detail file (used Data File Display and Maintenence to check).
One thing that seemed to work, but not sure if it's safe is: on the Import Job Maintenence screen, when you set up an import job, select the Records tab and double click on the "Line Type E" line. Click off the "Perform Only" checkbox and actually create a rule that will import the record, such as processing the record if field #18 is equals to "E". This seems to work, but from what I've read, the "Perform Only" has to be checked so that some important behind the seens processing gets completed.
Its very important that I get this import to work so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
