Has anyone used this program, called Visual Cut? It appears to have some great features to auto email reports in many different formats. I'm interested in if it can & how refresh the data on the report prior to emailing? Thanks

Hi,
The place I worked (large state agency, several thousand reports, several hundred handled by Visual Cut at one time or another) used it for many complex tasks and found it did exactly what it said it could here:

I use VCut to send out invoices every month, and I have set up several customers to have scheduled "burst" reports. It will refresh the report and then Email it either to a fixed person or each group/page to a different person

In March I am writing a comparison of about 10 tools that do scheduled Email for Crystal Reports. They aren't all on my LINKS page yet but most are:

Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
Public classes and individual training.
Guides to Formulas, Parameters, Subreports, Cross-tabs, VB, Tips and Tricks

Then it must be a step I'm missing to have the report refresh prior to emailing. Can you elaborate on what drives the refresh. My criteria is: Select Expert, Sales Order Date in CurrentDate -1 to Current Date.

It should be automatic. If you don't save the report with data it will HAVE to refresh or it won't have anything to send.

BTW did you ask Ido (at Millet Software)? He always provides great support.

We use Visual Cut to automate our reporting. Works great! Ido does provide great support.
