Complete amateur here - I'm trying to write a real simple program to display live video from either my webcam or from my video capture card. I'm assuming it's best to insert an ActiveX control, but which one ? Or is there a simpler way ?

Some progress - I thought that DirectX SDK might be the answer, possibly using AMCap. So I downloaded the (half a gig) SDK...and there's no AMCap, neither is the source available on Microsoft's site. Back to square one.
