I am hoping to become a programmer. Right now, I am setting up my course of study, and I am confused! Can somebody please tell me what a Visual Basic Programmer does and what a Basic Programmer does. I have contacted different schools in my area, and no one can explain the difference to me. Please help!!

hehe, Basic would be the core language, this is almost like comparing a C++ Programmer to a VC++ Programmer, except in that case both languages are exactly the same with some addition to the compiler specifics. Basic I would assume is one that had worked with the original basic concept such as GWBasic, QBasic, TruBasic, and so forth, Visual Basic is oriented towards windows and is visual(there was a VB for DOS), the basic language structure is still intact , but Visual Basic has a lot more included. Need more details?
Karl
kb244@kb244.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
